BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: OUR MINDFUL MINYAN!
Many of our members have missed our once-a-month “Mindful Minyans” during the pandemic. In Kol HaLev parlance, a Mindful Minyan is a Shabbat morning dedicated to using the Torah portion of the week as a jumping off point for meditation and exploration—together with some singing, healing prayers, and an opportunity to say Kaddish. And this coming Shabbat morning, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. we will experience a Mindful Minyan in person, outdoors next to the CHC chapel, led by Betsy Wexler.  Attendees (only if vaccinated,   please) are asked to bring a folding chair with them.  We will also stream the Mindful Minyan online for those who can’t be there in person. Click on the blue title above to join in.
So please join us in contemplative practice on this week's parsha on Saturday morning.  Parshat Lech L’Cha—Genesis 12:1 - 17:27, includes the stories of God's calling of Abram, Abram's passing off his wife Sarai as his sister, Abram's dividing the land with his nephew Lot, Sarai's tensions with her maid Hagar and Hagar's son Ishmael, and much, much more. Betsy will lead us in gentle meditation, interwoven with discussion and sharing, as always.
