Havdalah/Malave Malke

Saturday, February 9, 2019 4 Adar I 5779

6:00 PM - 9:00 PMChapel
Creative Party with the Shabbat Queen!
Jewish tradition offers a fun opportunity at the end of Shabbat. "Escorting the Shabbat Queen" as she leaves is an excuse to capture, hang on to and try to bring into the coming week a bit of Shabbat JOY! It's called "Malave Malka," (literally, "accompanying the Queen").

We are planning an enjoyable evening for all on Saturday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m. to include music by our "Shabbat Unplugged" ensemble-in-residence, the Havdalah blessings and ritual, professional storytelling, and an open mic and more music.  Plus eating, of course! If you plan to attend please register below

Also, please consider bringing snacks and/or a  dessert to this event.

For the Open Mic, the theme of this year's program is the spiritual journey.  All are invited to share a story, a vignette, a memory, a poem or song or reading or piece of art that has something to do with your own spiritual path or a significant moment along the way.
For further information and to talk about the Open Mic portion, please contact Richard Reiches (click on his name to email) or call 410 952-9057.
