Dear Kol HaLev Community, The Family Programming and Education Committee is excited to present to you the revised “unschool” program for children (5 -13 years) now called Beit Lev (“School of Heart”). Beit Lev will be offered two Sundays a month at KHL. The program will combine developmentally-appropriate curriculum, experiential learning, mentoring and community building. Children will be separated into appropriate age groupings to learn about the holidays, traditions, Hebrew, and Jewish values, but will come together as a community for singing and basic prayer rituals. This new program will utilize the resources of a professional Jewish educator (or two depending on the number of children), parents, other members of KHL and Rabbi Geoff.
