Rabbi Geoff invites you to:
Interfaith "Lunch & Learn"
On the first Sunday of every month at noon, Kol HaLev and Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church members engage in interfaith discussion. For the second year in a row we are looking at the psalms, described by some as "the human side of the dialogue with God." The psalms certainly represent the full gamut of human experience and emotion, and we recognize ourselves in the words of the psalmist. Each month we read and explore one particular psalm in depth -- what is being expressed, how it might function for us, when it might be used (either in formal liturgy or in private devotion)...and just what is being suggested or cultivated that may be useful or helpful to us. It has been a pleasure thus far to share our understandings and interpretations with each other. In my experience, this kind of gathering represents the best of inter-faith dialogue. All are invited and welcome.
